How to Get to Koh Mak

Flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Trat take 50 minutes by Bangkok Airways then a short taxi journey to Laem Ngob Pier for the Ferry to Koh Mak. The fare from Bangkok to Trat is about 2500 Baht  one way. Bangkok Airways is the only airline flying in to Trat.  Air conditioned buses leave the Ekamai Bus station frequently to Trat from 6.00 am. Ekamai bus station is easily accessible by the BTS Skytrain. Air-conditioned and ordinary buses depart almost every hour. The trip is about 5 hours. Some buses also collect at Suvarnabhumi airport. By Mini Van From Bangkok                          By Private Transfer

Air-conditioned minivans run frequently from Khaosarn Road and from Victory Monument direct to Laem Ngob. Booking is possible by many travel agencies Bangkok.  Trip time is about 5 hours. The last boat leaves for Koh Mak at 4.00 pm daily so you need to leave in time. A Private Taxi will pick you up at your hotel or Airport direct to Laem Ngob. Journey time from Bangkok about 4 hours from the Airport. You can arrange through this website, the cost is 4500 baht one way to the pier. Send email to Book 

Taxi from either the airport or the Trat bus station takes about 20 minutes. If you can't pronounce Laem Ngob just ask for Koh Mak and you will be taken to the correct pier.

If you are traveling by car you will have to leave at Laem Ngob as there is no car Ferry to the Island

New Catamaran Service to Koh Mak

The catamaran runs daily to and from Koh Mak and has a registered capacity of 72 passengers. Due to its shape and size it has a much better ability to ensure a comfortable ride than regular speedboats, especially during strong winds and rough seas. As it has a boarding bridge you can easily get on and off the boat, even with a wheelchair or a stroller. It has been built with the special needs of elderly people and children in mind. The catamaran gives you the freedom to walk around and enjoy the scenery, from the islands in the Gulf of Siam to the mountains on the mainland of Cambodia. Speed Boats leave frequently through the season 1st October to 31st May about 45 minutes

Most Resorts will collect you from the Pier on Koh Mak on your arrival 

or you can call a Taxi if not.
